Family Medicine Opportunity without OB

at Ellsworth County Medical Center

About This Opportunity

A family physician is needed to join a growing group practice with two other primary care physicians, two full-time Physician Assistants, one fulltime Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and one part-time APRN. Currently, specialists in cardiology, nephrology, professional hearing, gastroenterology, podiatry, orthopedics, OB/GYN, wound care and mental health services provide out-patient clinics at the facility. The opening is a replacement position for a family practice physician to begin as soon as recruited. Weekend coverage is on a separate call contract. Emergency Room primary call back-up coverage is on a rotating schedule.

Benefits will include loan repayment, relocation costs, continuing medical education allowance, alternative to Social Security program (414(h) pension plans (401(a), 403(b)(7) and 457), malpractice insurance, health / dental / prescription insurance benefits, life insurance, short term and long term disability insurance, earned illness benefit and flex-spending account. This is an employed position and will have base salary plus production compensation. Base salary is computed based on MGMA WRVU workload, and is negotiable dependent on background and experience with quality measure incentives. An initial salary guarantee is negotiable followed by annual contract review.

Ellsworth County Medical Center (ECMC), Ellsworth, Kansas provides quality care through its 20 bed Critical Access Hospital and four Rural Health Clinics. The hospital has been in existence, serving the needs of the growing community since 1898. In 1998 the hospital moved into its current building out of the 1921 facility. A CT Suite was added, a beautiful clinic to house the current providers, a Wellness Center, an Out-Patient Specialty Clinic, and an Administrative Building has been added to the campus. Outlying clinics staffed on a rotation basis by providers, are located in Holyrood, Wilson and Lucas, Kansas.

All primary care opportunities in Ellsworth County qualify for the Kansas Medical Student Loan (KMSL) and the Osteopathic Medical Service Scholarship (OMS)
