workweek and hospital paid malpractice coverage. The new Family Medicine physician will receive an attractive compensation
package as well as full fringe benefits! This position also includes optional Emergency Room call coverage for additional
compensation.
* AMC is an approved site for the NHSC (National Health Service Corps) Loan Repayment Program.
Anthony Medical Center (AMC) owns and operates a 25-bed, critical access hospital, two rural health clinics, an outpatient
specialty clinic, and a wellness center. The medical staff currently consists of one full-time Family Medicine physician, one part-
time physician, one full-time PA-C, one full-time APRN and two full-time
PA-C’s providing Emergency Room coverage.
Services currently offered at AMC include a new state-of-the-art CT, Wichita
MRI, Digital Mammography, X-Ray, Sonography, PT, OT, full laboratory
services, and more. In April 2011, the new Wellness and Education
Center at AMC held it's grand opening. This facility includes a Wellness
Center, Education/Staff Training Center, emergency bay and entrance
with decontamination facilities, and a new cafeteria. A newly remodeled
Emergency Department is underway.
Living in Anthony, Kansas (Population 2,440; Harper County 6,536)
Anthony lies on the edge of a beautiful valley in south central Kansas. Anthony is a safe, clean, vibrant community located 55
miles from Wichita and 10 miles from the Oklahoma/Kansas border. Anthony’s peaceful residential areas boast well-kept older
homes as well as new construction. Many beautiful trees grace the highly maintained and well-lit streets.
Anthony is a very cohesive and family friendly community. Each May brings the Sunflower Balloon Fest, which draws over 6,000
people to witness competitive flights during the day and the spectacular glow of the balloons’ vibrant colors against the skyin the
evening. Anthony is proud to also be home to the 153-acre Anthony Lake. The Lake is currently undergoing expansion, and is
home to the Anthony Golf Course and Driving Range, the Anthony Gun Club, several camp-sites, playgrounds, and cabins. The
Harper County 4th of July celebration is held at the Lake each year
boasting one of the region's best fireworks shows as well as a full day
of family friendly activities!
